Kambri Precinct | Australian National University |
Cultural Centre Kambri (ANU Building 153), Acton ACT 2601
Kambri is a thriving community centre located at the Australian National University campus.
Now open, Kambri at ANU is an exciting new precinct within the heart of ANU.
Kambri is a hub for entertainment. Throughout the day, and into the late hours of the night, it hosts a variety of fun and engaging events, including theatre, concerts, public lectures, musicals, comedy, movie screenings, banquets and more.
With a student residential hall, teaching and learning facilities, a health and wellbeing centre and more than 40 shops and retailers, Kambri at ANU is a thriving community centre.
The name Kambri is given to the University by the ACT's four Indigenous communities.
Kambri's new Marie Reay Teaching Centre, along with the four other buildings that make up the new central precinct, will make this bold new innovative learning and teaching concept a reality.
The Lane and The Lawn
With the opening of over 23 retailers, Kambri will become a brand new cultural centre for the city and ANU community.
Health & wellbeing
An increased range of services including pool, gym and specialised medical clinics, will help support the needs of our growing campus community.
GETTING HERE AND GETTING AROUND
Kambri is the living heart of the Australian National University, located in the centre of the Acton campus.
Abuzz with activity, this new precinct boasts tree-lined avenues and spectacular outlooks over Sullivan's Creek and the mountains, and is easily accessible via many means.
Walking
Kambri was conceived and developed with a people-first approach, which is reflected in the well-lit and pleasant pedestrian routes that connect with the surrounding communities and facilitate active transport opportunities.
Public Transport
The ANU campus is served by Transport Canberra's high frequency 'Rapid' bus services. For more information on these, check out Transport Canberra's Journey Planner.
Bicycle
Kambri is extremely bike-friendly - in fact the Acton campus has over forty enclosures with enough storage for more than 2,000 bikes. The best way to find out about bicycle shelters on campus is to look under 'outdoor facilities' on ANU maps.
If you don't own your own bike, the Timely Treadly program provides staff and postgraduate students with access to a bicycle for travel around campus. More than 100 bicycles are housed in various parts of the ANU campus. Contact the Transport Office for more information.
Taxi
The taxi and Uber rank is conveniently located directly outside the Cultural Centre,
giving easy access to all visitors coming and going.
