There is no bigger day on Australia's sporting calendar than the Australian Football League Grand Final.
The Grand Final game is the culmination of 23 home and away matches over 25 rounds of football plus elimination, semi and preliminary finals.
One grand final game to determine the premier team for the 2025 season. There can be only one winner! Who will it be?
The AFL Grand Final will be played in front of 100k fans at the MCG and for an estimated 80m television audience world-wide.

* Time on will be played if the scores are tied at the end of the 4th quarter. After a six-minute break, the game will resume with two three-minute halves - plus time on. Teams will change ends at the end of the first three-minute half, but there will be no break, with play immediately resuming once the players are set. If the scores are still tied at the end of the two three-minute halves, the process of playing another two three-minute halves will be repeated until a winner is found.

The Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events has declared that the grand final is protected under the legislation, it is an offence to resell (and/or to advertise for resale) any ticket for more than 10 percent above the face value of the ticket.

Getting to the G..
Trams
Metro Melbourne will put on extra services (trams and trains) before and after the game.
No. 75 (City-Vermont South), No. 48 (City-North Balwyn). The No. 70 (City-Wattle Park)

Trains
The two train stations close to the MCG are Jolimont which is north of the ground and Richmond to the south. For Jolimont catch trains running on Hurstbridge or Epping lines from the city. For Richmond from the city take any train on the Lilydale Belgrave Alamein Glen Waverley Dandenong Pakenham Cranbourne Frankston or Sandringham lines. If you're coming from outside Melbourne V/Line services will take you to Southern Cross Station.

Route 246 is run by National Bus Company links outer Melbourne to the G.

Cars & Parking
There is NO parking at the MCG (Yarra Park). Drivers are urged to drive to a local railway station, park and catch a train to either Flinders St, Jolimont or Richmond Stations.
