Conveniently located close to the ANU in Childers street, City West, The Street Theatre houses two theatres, meeting rooms and a cafe/bar.
Officially opened in 1994 The Street Theatre houses small to medium sized events such as contemporary music, drama, cabaret, comedy, dance and chamber performance. The Street Theatre operates as both a venue for hire and as a production house, under the brand Street Presents.
An arts house welcoming all who come through its doors, The Street Theatre offers an exciting alternative theatre experience for those interested in contemporary work made by professional and independent artists.
Street Presents produces a curated program of performance work from cabaret, drama, to comedy and dance - offering up a taste of Canberra, both on and off stage.
Opens 1.5 hours prior to performance.

Limited on-street parking is available outside the The Street Theatre's entrance and on surrounding streets.
City West public car park at Allsop Street is a 2-minute walk from The Street Theatre, but has limited opening hours:
Mon-Thurs: 6am to 9pm | Fri: 6am to 11pm | Sat & Sunday: closed
Please note that the Childers Street carpark next to The Street Theatre has re-opened and is accessible for Street patrons from 5pm daily.
