The next Red Nose Day is on Friday 8th August 2025.
Every year on the second Friday in August, we invite Australian's everywhere to get silly for a serious cause to raise much needed funds to help stop little lives being cut short and support grieving families.
Red Nose Day is the signature event for the charity Red Nose (formerly SIDS and Kids) and raises vital funds for education and support services for Australian families.
Red Nose was established by Kaarene Fitzgerald following the death of her son Glenn from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), one of 18 Victorian babies to die that July. From humble beginnings, Red Nose has grown into a vital and vibrant organisation that supports bereaved families, and educates parents, health professionals and the community throughout Australia.
Red Nose has:
Delivered evidence-based Safe Sleeping education across the country, reducing the rate of sudden unexpected infant deaths by 80% - saving approximately 9,450 little lives. Committed $16.7 million towards research into stillbirth and SIDS. Supported hundreds of families impacted by the death of a child through free Grief and Loss Services - including a 24-hour helpline, an online platform of resources and professional counselling options.Help fund these vital programs by making a donation or purchase Red Nose Day product online or through Big W, Target, Terry White Chemists and other leading retailers. Red Nose Day is held on different dates in different states. Most states Red Nose Day is held on the second Friday in August each year except for South Australia where SIDS and Kids SA celebrates Red Donut Day.
Red Donut Day - South Australia
Red Donut Day is held in the last week of June.
