Community Support Services Career Opportunities

Due to ongoing growth, DSA is continuing to recruit direct Support Workers to join our Community Support Services teams in the greater Sydney area, the Southern Highlands, and Queanbeyan.

Working in Community Support Services involves great variety - no two days are ever the same. You may do everything from supporting a person with a disability to cook a meal, develop a new skill, prepare for work, assist with personal care, or participate in community activities.

Lifestyle Support Workers

Lifestyle Support Workers provide assistance to people with intellectual and multiple disabilities in their own homes and communities, with a focus on assisting individuals:
To be a Lifestyle Support Worker, you must be able to to work as part of a 7 day roster, including evening, sleepover and weekend shifts (additional allowances and loadings apply), excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a current drivers licence & car, first aid certificate (or a willingness to obtain one) and the ability to be a team player. Experience providing personal care is desirable.

Day Options Support Worker

Day Options Support Woerks provide direct support, focusing on Monday to Friday during business hours, to people with disability within our Day Options programme. Day Options support workers assist people with intellectual and multiple disabilities to;
To be a Day Options Support Worker, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a car & current drivers licence, first aid certificate (or a willingness to obtain one) and the ability to be a team player are essential. Previous related experience is desirable.
