Changes to Coles Online

March - April 2020

To ensure that all Australians have access to their share of grocery items, we're introducing some temporary measures across our online business as the COVID-19 situation develops. The steps we are taking will help ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing while also ensuring we can continue to provide groceries for all Australians, particularly as we enter a phase where more people will be staying at home.

Home delivery
To dedicate vans in our network to delivering groceries to the most vulnerable and those isolated, home delivery for ordinary orders will be temporarily suspended. A further announcement about this will be made in the coming days.
All orders being delivered from Thursday 19 March onwards will be cancelled.

Click&Collect
Due to lower product availability in stores, we will temporarily stop accepting Click&Collect orders. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause.

All orders due for collection on Wednesday 18 March and onwards will be cancelled.

Making it easier to shop in-store
If you choose to shop in-store from Wednesday 18 March, please note we'll be temporarily reducing trading hours at all stores to 7am-8pm on weekdays. This will give our team members the time to extensively clean our stores and replenish the shelves for customers the next day.

We're also launching a dedicated "Community Hour" in all supermarkets to improve access to essential groceries for all customers, including the elderly and disadvantaged, during this time of unprecedented demand.

For the first hour of trade of Coles supermarkets across the country (7am-8am), doors will open exclusively to customers who hold a government-issued Pensioner Concession Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, Health Care Card or Companion Card. Once this hour is complete, all other customers will be invited to complete their grocery shop.

We ask for customers to continue to respect and support our store team members and our Customer Care and Coles Online call centres, particularly if a product is unavailable or if the checkout queues are longer than normal.

Thanks for your ongoing support and patience in these unprecedented times.
